JVC Curling Teams
Curling JVC is proud to sponsor Team Glenn Howard for the 2011 - 2012 Curling Season.

In the fall of 1991, JVC sponsored its first competitive curling team, the Mike Harris Team from Toronto. They were a young, hungry squad that gained in experience year after year. The foursome, with skip Mike Harris, 3rd Richard Hart, 2nd Collin Mitchell and Lead George Karrys went on to a stellar career, capped by winning the Olympic Silver Medal at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan.

In 1999, JVC committed support to Team Kim Gellard, thus forming one men's team and one women's team under JVC sponsorship.

In the fall of 2001, JVC sponsored Team Kelley Law from British Columbia, with 3rd Julie Skinner, 2nd Georgina Wheatcroft, Lead Diane Nelson and 5th player Cheryl Noble. The team enjoyed an outstanding season, including winning the Olympic Bronze Medal for Canada at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah.

JVC is now in the 20th year of supporting Canadian Curling.

Now in their sixth season, Team Howard have climbed to the pinnacle of the curling world… and they’re not finished yet.

Team Howard made it double world gold for JVC in 2007 by winning the Ford World Curling Championship defeating Germany’s Andy Kapp 8-3 in the final at Rexall Place in Edmonton.

In addition to the world title, the team finished in the top three on the World Curling Tour and won numerous tournaments around the world.

Team Howard has been recognized for years as one of the most consistent teams in the World, with successive wins at the national and international level. The addition of 2 time World Champion Wayne Middaugh to the team in 2011 is the beginning of one of the most exciting partnerships that curling has seen in years. The world has already witnessed the potential of this team with a win at the 2010 Canada Cup of Curling.

(March 6 - 14, 2010) and World Championships in Italy (April 3 - 11, 2010). The Team previously won the 2007 Tim Horton's Brier and Ford World Championship.
